The Lifestyle Edit – PR & Partnerships That Convert
An online course that gives small brands and businesses the tools they need to kick start their own PR & Marketing.
Back in January, I partnered with my friend Naomi Mdudu, former Fashion Editor of the Metro and now Founder of business networking tool The Lifestyle Edit, to host our first ever PR workshop. We’ve both been in the industry a long time now and one of the things we recognise, particularly from working with small businesses and start ups, is that when every penny counts, finding the money to invest into PR + Marketing, particularly in those early stages of founding your business, is incredibly tough.
As business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to invest wisely. What does an online course entail?
Not everyone has done an online course before so let me break down what it is. You buy your spot on the course (available here), receive all the downloadable materials you need for it and kick it off in your own sweet time. There’s no pressure to complete it by a certain date or time because we know what it’s like to be time deprived and want to make it easy for you. It’s 12 modules to work through and you don’t have to do it in the order we suggested – skip through to the sections that your business needs the most right now and return to the rest later on. We suggest allocating 2 hours per week to get the most out of it.
Each module includes video content from Naomi + I to talk you through the section with examples and advice from our own experiences, which works alongside the course workbook that breaks it down into words for you.
Will you and Naomi be on hand at all through the course?
Yes! Whilst we’re not there face to face with you, the video content replicates EXACTLY what we talk through in our in-person workshops. When you buy your spot on the course, you’ll be welcomed in to a private Facebook group with all others enrolled on the course. This is your space to swap notes, ask questions, meet other business owners and let us know where your pain points are. Naomi & I will be regularly checking in to the group and responding to help guide you through.
How can I justify the spend of this?
Put simply, your brand or service will nose dive if you’re not putting adequate effort and time into the PR + marketing. External help is readily available but it’s expensive – you’d be looking at paying at least 50% more than this course and that would only cover a month of work! This course gives you ALL the information and tools you need to be able to kick this off yourself and gives you access to 2 seasoned experts to help guide you through it.
